We are told that it makes sense to buy gold, regardless of price or the parabolic trajectory, because the dollar is in decline. Here is a reminder of reality. The Dollar index (greenback vs. a basket of currencies) struggled earlier this year but has been holding its own and appears to be poised for a rally. Nobody is expecting this, nor are they positioned for this.
