Trade Balance vs S&P
If "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer" were an image. The US trade balance has collapsed in the last five years, which is great for large corporations represented in the S&P 500 (the negative correlation shown here is not random). Still, the prosperity of the majority looks more like the chart on the lower half of this image. Although stocks might recover in the short run, a lot still has to be worked out. The current scenario is not healthy or sustainable.
