July Natural Gas futures rallied to their highest levels since mid-March following a smaller-than-expected build in weekly storage. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported a 95 billion cubic foot build for the week ending May 29, falling short of the 102 billion cubic foot consensus. Total working gas in storage remains above the five-year average but is largely unchanged from year-ago levels. Regional storage data showed the Mountain and Pacific regions leading on a percentage basis. Additionally, short-term weather forecasts point to moderate demand across the U.S. over the coming week, providing a modest tailwind for prices despite warmer temperatures in the Southwest.
