The Fed rarely “goes against” the market. But then later we criticize the Fed for policy mistakes. What are we even doing here? 😅😅In my view, we need change, and today was the opposite. Most agree that a 25-basis-point increase is symbolic and doesn't materially affect inflation, so why do it? I wish we had kept rates the same, but if we were going to move, why not go 125 basis points and get it over with? Ok, maybe 50 basis points. But you get the idea. Either do something, or don't. @ScottTheCowGuy and I talked about this as the news unfolded.
