Today on @CowGuyClose, I spoke with @ScottTheCowGuy about USDA Farmer Bridge Payments and the consequences of government involvement in markets and economic cycles. The conversation veered into the increasingly chaotic markets that have unfolded on the heels of the Global Financial Crisis. The refusal to allow the business cycle to run its natural course has led to excessive liquidity and insufficient production of goods. Further, it has created obvious winners (asset owners and those in select industries) and losers (everyone else). This is the chart we discussed.
